The Treasure Coast Wildlife Center held a free, open house to celebrate their 43rd anniversary on Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Palm City. The event included guided nature trail walks, face and rock painting, educational demonstrations and a patient release. The center is a non-profit organization that depends on donations and volunteers to care for a wide variety of wild animals, including a bald eagle, a crested cara cara, a falcon, owls, hawks, tortoises, alligators and crocodiles.
